No longer will one teach his neighbour or his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,”  for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them’   #– #this is the Lord’s declaration. ‘For I will forgive their iniquity  and never again remember their sin.


You live in a world of deception.  , In their deception they refuse to know me. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


Hear the word of the  Lord,  people of Israel, for the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth,  no faithful love, and no knowledge of God  in the land!


Their actions do not allow them to return to their God, for a spirit of promiscuity is among them, and they do not know the  Lord.


All things have been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires   to reveal him.


Then he went and settled in a town called Nazareth to fulfil what was spoken through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.


At that time Jesus said to the crowds, ‘Have you come out with swords and clubs, as if I were a criminal,   to capture me? Every day I used to sit, teaching in the temple, and you didn’t arrest me.


All things have   been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son desires   to reveal him.’


Today in the city of David a Saviour  was born for you, who is the Messiah,  the Lord.


When they had completed everything according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.


Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth  in Galilee, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem,  because he was of the house and family line of David,


Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was obedient to them. His mother kept all these things in her heart.


‘Can anything good  come out of Nazareth? ’ Nathanael asked him. ‘Come and see,’ Philip answered.


do you say, “You are blaspheming” to the one the Father set apart and sent into the world, because I said: I am the Son of God?


For I have not spoken on my own, but the Father   himself who sent me has given me a command to say everything I have said.


Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?   The words I speak to you I do not speak on my own.   The Father who lives in me does his works.


On the contrary, so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do as the Father commanded me. ‘Get up; let’s leave this place.


They will do these things because they haven’t known   the Father or me.


Righteous Father, the world has not known you. However, I have known you,   and they have known that you sent me.


This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only   true   God, and the one you have sent   #– #Jesus Christ.


This man came to him at night and said, ‘Rabbi,  we know that you are a teacher  who has come from God,  for no one could perform these signs you do unless God were with him.’


The one who has accepted his testimony has affirmed that God is true.


There is another who testifies about me, and I know that the testimony he gives about me is true.


I have come in my Father’s name,   and yet you don’t accept me.   If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.


They were saying, ‘Isn’t this Jesus the son of Joseph,  whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, “I have come down from heaven”? ’


When the festival was already half over, Jesus went up into the temple  and began to teach.


‘Even if I testify about myself,’ Jesus replied, ‘my testimony is true, because I know where I came from and where I’m going. But you don’t know where I come from or where I’m going.


And if I do judge, my judgement is true, because it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me.


Then they asked him, ‘Where is your Father? ’ ‘You know neither me nor my Father,’   Jesus answered. ‘If you knew me, you would also know my Father.’


‘I have many things to say and to judge about you, but the one who sent me   is true, and what I have heard from him #– #these things I tell the world.’


Jesus said to them, ‘If God were your Father, you would love me,   because I came from God   and I am here. For I didn’t come on my own, but he sent me.


We know that God has spoken to Moses. But this man #– #we don’t know where he’s from.’


For as I was passing through and observing the objects of your worship, I even found an altar on which was inscribed, “To an Unknown God.” Therefore, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.


And because they did not think it worth while to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.


Absolutely not!  Let God be true, even though everyone is a liar,  as it is written: That you may be justified in your words and triumph when you judge.   ,


As God is faithful,  our message to you is not ‘Yes and no’.


For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness’,  has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge  of God’s glory  in the face of Jesus Christ.


in the hope of eternal life  that God, who cannot lie,  promised before time began.


so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.


The one who believes in the Son of God has this testimony within himself. The one who does not believe God has made him a liar,  because he has not believed in the testimony God has given about his Son.
