and they saw  the God of Israel. Beneath his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as clear as the sky itself.


All things have been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires   to reveal him.


All things have   been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son desires   to reveal him.’


No one has ever seen God. The one and only  Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s  side   #– #he has revealed him.


If you know me, you will also know   my Father.   From now on you do know him   and have seen him.’


If I had not done the works   among them that no one else has done,   they would not be guilty of sin.   Now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.


The Father who sent me has himself testified   about me. You have not heard his voice at any time, and you haven’t seen his form.


I know him because I am from him, and he sent me.’


Then they asked him, ‘Where is your Father? ’ ‘You know neither me nor my Father,’   Jesus answered. ‘If you knew me, you would also know my Father.’


You do not know him, but I know him. If I were to say I don’t know him,   I would be a liar like you. But I do know him,   and I keep his word.


He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.


who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light,  whom no one has seen or can see,  to him be honour and eternal power.  Amen.


No one has ever seen God.  If we love one another, God remains in  us and his love is made complete in us.
