15 I do not call you servants any more, because a servant doesn’t know what his master   , is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father.

One with many friends may be harmed, but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother.


Indeed, the Lord God does nothing without revealing his counsel to his servants the prophets.


He answered, ‘Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know,   but it has not been given to them.


Then turning to his disciples he said privately, ‘Blessed are the eyes that see the things you see!


If anyone serves me, he must follow me. Where I am, there my servant   also will be.   If anyone serves me, the Father will honour   him.


‘Truly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his master,   , and a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him.


Remember the word I spoke to you: “A servant is not greater than his master.”   If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word,   they will also keep yours.


‘I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.


I made your name   known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have loved me with may be in them and I may be in them.’


‘Don’t cling to me,’ Jesus told her, ‘since I have not yet ascended   to the Father.   But go to my brothers   and tell them that I am ascending to my Father   and your Father, to my God   and your God.’


‘Sir,’ the woman replied, ‘I see that you are a prophet.


‘I have many things to say and to judge about you, but the one who sent me   is true, and what I have heard from him #– #these things I tell the world.’


because I did not avoid declaring to you the whole plan of God.


For I do not understand what I am doing,  because I do not practise what I want to do,  but I do what I hate.


For who has known the Lord’s mind, that he may instruct him?   , But we have the mind of Christ.


And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son  into our  hearts, crying, ‘Abba,  Father! ’

This was not made known to people  in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets  by the Spirit:


the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.
