teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,   I am with you always,   to the end of the age.’


If you ask me   anything in my name,   I will do it.   ,


‘I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.


But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit,   whom the Father will send   in my name, will teach you all things   and remind you of everything I have told you.


‘When the Counsellor   comes, the one I will send to you from the Father   #– #the Spirit of truth   who proceeds from the Father #– #he will testify about me.


So you also have sorrow   now. But I will see you again. Your hearts will rejoice,   and no one will take away your joy from you.


I am not praying that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.


‘I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in me through their word.


But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again.   In fact, the water I will give him will become a well   , of water springing up in him for eternal life.’


He said this about the Spirit.  Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit,  for the Spirit  had not yet been given  because Jesus had not yet been glorified.


While he was  with them, he commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise.  ‘Which,’ he said, ‘you have heard me speak about;


And the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.


So the church  throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.


for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,  but righteousness, peace, and joy  in the Holy Spirit.


Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe,  so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.


This hope will not disappoint us,  because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts  through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.


Who is the one who condemns?  Christ Jesus is the one who died,  but even more, has been raised;  he also is at the right hand of God  and intercedes for us.


But the fruit of the Spirit  is love,  joy,  peace, patience,  kindness,  goodness, faithfulness,


If, then, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love,  if any fellowship with the Spirit,  if any affection and mercy,


May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved  us and given us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace,


Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede  for them.


My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate  with the Father #– #Jesus Christ the righteous one.


As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, his anointing teaches you about all things  and is true and is not a lie; just as it has taught you,  remain in him.


because of the truth that remains in us  and will be with us for ever.
