Now Ezekiel will be a sign for you.  You will do everything that he has done. When this happens, you will know that I am the Lord God.”


‘Have you understood all these things? ’ They answered him, ‘Yes.’


Then  he said to them, ‘Don’t you understand this parable?   How then will you understand all of the parables?


For who is greater, the one at the table or the one serving? Isn’t it the one at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.


So he got up from supper, laid aside his outer clothing,  took a towel, and tied it round himself.


Jesus answered him, ‘What I’m doing you don’t realise now, but afterwards you will understand.’
