And he dreamed:  a stairway was set on the ground with its top reaching the sky, and God’s angels were going up and down on it.


In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, while I was among the exiles by the Chebar Canal,  the heavens were opened  and I saw visions of God.


Sword, awake against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate – this is the declaration of the  Lord of Armies. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.


‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels   , with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.


The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him,   but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for him if he had not been born.’


When Jesus was baptised, he went up immediately from the water. The heavens  suddenly opened for him,  and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down onto him.


Then the devil left him, and angels came and began to serve him.


Jesus told him, ‘Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man   has no place to lay his head.’


But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins’  #– #then he told the paralytic, ‘Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.’


As soon as he came up out of the water, he saw the heavens  being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.


‘I am,’   said Jesus, ‘and you will see the Son of Man   seated at the right hand   of Power and coming with the clouds   of heaven.’   ,


Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host  with the angel, praising God and saying:


Then an angel of the Lord  stood before them,  and the glory of the Lord  shone around them, and they were terrified.


Then an angel from heaven  appeared to him, strengthening him.


But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.’


While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood by them in dazzling  clothes.


When all the people were baptised,  Jesus also was baptised. As he was praying,  heaven opened,


Jesus responded to him, ‘Do you believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.’


‘Truly I tell you, anyone who doesn’t enter the sheepfold by the gate but climbs in some other way is a thief and a robber.


Jesus said again, ‘Truly I tell you, I am   the gate for the sheep.


‘Truly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his master,   , and a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him.


Jesus replied, ‘Will you lay down your life for me? Truly I tell you, a cock will not crow until you have denied me three times.


‘Truly I tell you, the one who believes in me   will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these,   because I am going to the Father.


Truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn,   but the world will rejoice. You will become sorrowful,   but your sorrow will turn to joy.


‘In that day you will not ask me anything. Truly I tell you, anything you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.


‘Truly I tell you,   when you were younger, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don’t want to go.’


Jesus replied, ‘Truly I tell you, unless someone is born again,   , he cannot see the kingdom of God.’


Jesus answered, ‘Truly I tell you, unless someone is born   of water and the Spirit,   he cannot enter the kingdom of God.


Jesus replied, ‘Truly I tell you, the Son is not able to do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father   does, the Son likewise does these things.


And he has granted him the right to pass judgement,   because he is the Son of Man.


Jesus answered, ‘Truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw   the signs, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.


Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, Moses   didn’t give you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.


‘Truly I tell you, anyone who believes   has eternal life.


So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man   and drink his blood,   you do not have life in yourselves.


Jesus responded, ‘Truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.


Truly I tell you, if anyone keeps my word,   he will never see death.’


Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, before Abraham was, I am.’


He saw heaven opened  and an object that resembled a large sheet coming down, being lowered by its four corners to the earth.


He said, ‘Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God! ’


and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,


They will pay the penalty of eternal destruction  from the Lord’s presence  and from his glorious strength


And most certainly, the mystery of godliness  is great: He  was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed  on in the world, taken up in glory.


Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?


It was about these that Enoch,  in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied: ‘Look! The Lord comes with tens of thousands of his holy ones


Then I saw heaven opened,  and there was a white horse. Its rider is called Faithful and True,  and with justice he judges and makes war.


After this I looked, and there in heaven was an open door. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet  said, ‘Come up here,   and I will show you what must take place after this.’
