You produce new witnesses  against me and multiply your anger towards me. Hardships assault me, wave after wave.


Anyone born of woman is short of days and full of trouble.


But humans are born for trouble as surely as sparks fly upwards.


Like a slave he longs for shade; like a hired worker he waits for his pay.


No one has authority over the wind  to restrain it,  and there is no authority over the day of death;  no one is discharged during battle, and wickedness will not allow those who practise it to escape.


And now the Lord says, ‘In three years, as a hired worker counts years,  Moab’s splendour will become an object of contempt, in spite of a very large population. And those who are left will be few and weak.’


For the Lord said this to me: ‘Within one year,  as a hired worker counts years, all the glory of Kedar  will be gone.


‘Go and tell Hezekiah, “This is what the Lord God of your ancestor David says: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Look, I am going to add fifteen years to your life.  ,


‘Speak tenderly to   Jerusalem, and announce to her that her time of hard service is over, her iniquity  has been pardoned, and she has received from the  Lord’s hand double for all her sins.’


The one who purchased him is to calculate the time from the year he sold himself to him until the Year of Jubilee. The price of his sale will be determined by the number of years. It will be set for him like the daily wages of a hired worker.


Do not regard it as a hardship  when you set him free, because he worked for you six years #– #worth twice the wages of a hired worker. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.
