Then Abraham prayed to God,  and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female slaves so that they could bear children,


Now return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet,  and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not return her, know that you will certainly die, you and all who are yours.’


Because God helped the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord, with God’s help, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.


They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. Then he told the descendants of Aaron, the priests, to offer them on the altar of the Lord.


Whenever a round of banqueting was over, Job would send for his children and purify them, rising early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for  all of them. For Job thought, ‘Perhaps my children have sinned, having cursed God in their hearts.’  This was Job’s regular practice.


Then the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity,  who fears God and turns away from evil.’


He will even rescue the guilty one, who will be rescued by the purity of your hands.


Your wickedness affects a person like yourself, and your righteousness, a son of man.


Then Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the Lord had told them, and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.


Then Jethro, Moses’s father-in-law, brought a burnt offering and sacrifices to God, and Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat a meal with Moses’s father-in-law in God’s presence.


The sons of your oppressors will come and bow down to you; all who reviled you will fall face down at your feet. They will call you the City of the  Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.


Then the Lord said to me, ‘Do not pray for the well-being of these people.


Then the Lord said to me, ‘Even if Moses and Samuel  should stand before me,  my heart would not go out to these people. Send them from my presence, and let them go.


Even if these three men   #– #Noah,  Daniel,  and Job   #– #were in it, they would rescue only themselves by their righteousness.’ This is the declaration of the Lord God.

Alexander  the coppersmith did great harm to me. The Lord will repay him according to his works.


For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.


Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede  for them.


Is anyone among you ill? He should call for the elders of the church, and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.


Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.


If anyone sees a fellow believer  committing a sin that doesn’t lead to death, he should ask, and God will give life to him #– #to those who commit sin that doesn’t lead to death. There is sin  that leads to death. I am not saying he should pray about that.


Jesus Christ #– #he is the one who came by water and blood, not by water only, but by water  and by blood.  And the Spirit is the one who testifies,  because the Spirit is the truth.


Note this: I will make those from the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews and are not, but are lying #– #I will make them come and bow down at your feet,   and they will know that I have loved you.


Then David accepted what she had brought him and said, ‘Go home in peace.  See, I have heard what you said and have granted your request.’
