A person may be disciplined on his bed  with pain and constant distress in his bones,


Among unsettling thoughts from visions in the night, when deep sleep  comes over men,


I felt a draught  on my face, and the hair on my body stood up.


then you frighten me with dreams, and terrify me with visions,


Then I said: Woe is me,  for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Armies.


He said to me, ‘Daniel, you are a man treasured by God.  , Understand the words that I’m saying to you. Stand on your feet,  for I have now been sent to you.’  After he said this to me, I stood trembling.


I heard, and I trembled within; my lips quivered at the sound. Rottenness entered my bones; I trembled where I stood. Now I must quietly wait for the day of distress to come against the people invading us.
