Job 36:3

Then Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite  from the family of Ram became angry. He was angry at Job because he had justified  himself rather than God.

But it is the spirit in a person – the breath  from the Almighty – that gives anyone understanding.

For Job has declared, ‘I am righteous, yet God has deprived me of justice.

Be patient with me a little longer, and I will inform you, for there is still more to be said on God’s behalf.

The Almighty #– #we cannot reach him – he is exalted in power! He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness,

‘Can a mortal be righteous before God? Can a man be more pure than his Maker? ’

Lord, righteousness belongs to you,  but this day public shame belongs to us: the men of Judah, the residents of Jerusalem, and all Israel #– #those who are near and those who are far, in all the countries where you have banished them because of the disloyalty they have shown towards you.

The queen of the south   will rise up at the judgement with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and look #– #something greater than Solomon is here.

What should we say then?  Is there injustice with God?  Absolutely not!

The Rock   #– #his work is perfect; all his ways are just. A faithful God,  without bias, he is righteous and true.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God #– #who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly #– #and it will be given to him.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretence.

They sang the song of God’s servant Moses  and the song of the Lamb: Great and awe-inspiring are your works, Lord God, the Almighty; just and true  are your ways, King of the nations.  ,
