He prayed to him, and the Lord was receptive to his prayer. He granted his request  and brought him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom. So Manasseh came to know that the Lord is God.


They let their little ones run around like lambs; their children skip about,


They spend  their days in prosperity and go down to Sheol in peace.


Come to terms with God and be at peace; in this way  good will come to you.


If you return  to the Almighty, you will be renewed. If you banish injustice from your tent


So the Lord blessed the last part of Job’s life more than the first. He owned fourteen thousand sheep and goats, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.


But whoever listens to me will live securely and be undisturbed by the dread of danger.’


If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.


So now, correct your ways and deeds,  and obey the Lord your God so that he might relent concerning the disaster he had pronounced against you.


However, I did give them this command: “Obey me, and then I will be your God, and you will be my people. Follow every way I command you so that it may go well with you.”


But thank God that, although you used to be slaves of sin,  you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching to which you were handed  over,


When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, in the future you will return to the Lord your God and obey him.


For the training of the body has limited benefit,  but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.


By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and set out for a place that he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, even though he did not know where he was going.


You have lived luxuriously on the earth and have indulged yourselves. You have fattened your hearts  in a day of slaughter.


As much as she glorified herself and indulged her sensual and excessive ways, give her that much torment and grief. For she says in her heart, ‘I sit as a queen; I am not a widow, and I will never see grief.’
