Men listened to me with expectation, waiting silently for my advice.


They waited for me as for the rain and opened their mouths as for spring showers.


Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me. I too will declare what I know.’


I paid close attention to you. Yet no one proved Job wrong; not one of you refuted his arguments.


Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were all older than he.


We have investigated this, and it is true! Hear it and understand it for yourself.


The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.


A rich person is wise in his own eyes, but a poor one who has discernment sees through him.
