So give your servant a receptive heart to judge  your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours? ’


He dams up the streams from flowing so that he may bring to light what is hidden.


Where then does wisdom come from, and where is understanding located?


But God understands the way to wisdom, and he knows its location.


He said to mankind, ‘The fear of the Lord #– #that is wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.’


The Lord founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding.


Wisdom is as good as an inheritance and an advantage to those who see the sun,


In him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom  and knowledge.


Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.


Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God #– #who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly #– #and it will be given to him.
