That messenger was still speaking when yet another came and reported, ‘The Chaldeans formed three bands, made a raid on the camels, and took them away. They struck down the servants with the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you! ’


For he oppressed and abandoned the poor; he seized a house he did not build.


If my land cries out against me and its furrows join in weeping,


The hungry consume his harvest, even taking it out of the thorns. The thirsty  pant for his children’s wealth.


Don’t move an ancient boundary marker that your ancestors set up.


Don’t move an ancient boundary marker, and don’t encroach on the fields of the fatherless,


The princes of Judah are like those who move boundary markers; I will pour out my fury  on them like water.


‘Do not move your neighbour’s boundary marker,  established at the start in the inheritance you will receive in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess.


“The one who moves his neighbour’s boundary marker is cursed.” And all the people will say, “Amen! ”
