They grope around in darkness without light; he makes them stagger like a drunkard.


He will no longer be rich; his wealth will not endure. His possessions  will not increase in the land.


He is ripped from the security of his tent and marched away to the king of terrors.


How often is the lamp  of the wicked put out? Does disaster  come on them? Does he apportion destruction in his anger?


when his lamp shone above my head, and I walked through darkness by his light!


The lamp that guides the wicked – haughty eyes and an arrogant heart   #– #is sin.


For the evil have no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.


But the way of the wicked is like the darkest gloom; they don’t know what makes them stumble.


‘ “When I snuff you out, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.


the light of a lamp will never shine in you again; and the voice of a groom and bride will never be heard in you again. All this will happen because your merchants were the nobility of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.
