Then out of the sky the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah burning sulphur from the Lord.


For the company of the godless  will have no children, and fire will consume the tents of those who offer bribes.


Woe for the one who builds his palace through unrighteousness, his upstairs rooms through injustice, who makes his neighbour serve without pay and will not give him his wages,


As when Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown along with their neighbours,’  says the Lord, ‘no one will live there; no human being will stay in it even temporarily.


I will send it out,’   #– #this is the declaration of the Lord of Armies #– #‘and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by my name. It will stay inside his house and destroy it along with its timbers and stones.’


But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulphur rained from heaven and destroyed   them all.


The Lord will turn the rain of your land into falling  dust; it will descend on you from the sky until you are destroyed.


All its soil will be a burning waste of sulphur and salt, unsown, producing nothing, with no plant growing on it, just like the fall of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord demolished in his fierce anger.


But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with it the false prophet, who had performed the signs in its presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshipped its image with these signs.  Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur.


But the cowards, faithless,  detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars   #– #their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur,  which is the second death.’
