My friends scoff at me as I weep before God.


You have shrivelled me up   #– #it has become a witness; my frailty rises up against me and testifies to my face.


My flesh is clothed with maggots and encrusted with dirt. My skin forms scabs  and then oozes.


For who knows what is good for anyone in life, in the few days of his futile life that he spends like a shadow?  Who can tell anyone what will happen after him under the sun?


Because of this, our heart is sick; because of these, our eyes grow dim:
