While Elisha was still speaking with them, the messenger  came down to him. Then he said, ‘This disaster is from the Lord. Why should I wait for the Lord any longer? ’


Is it good for you to oppress, to reject the work of your hands, and favour  the plans of the wicked?


The tents of robbers are safe, and those who trouble God are secure; God holds them in his hands.  ,


Why has your heart misled you, and why do your eyes flash


What is a mere human, that he should be pure, or one born of a woman, that he should be righteous?


God is wise  and all-powerful. Who has opposed him and come out unharmed?


A person’s own foolishness leads him astray, yet his heart rages against the  Lord.


Why should any living person complain, any man, because of the punishment for his sins?


‘But you say, “The Lord’s way isn’t fair.”  Now listen, house of Israel: Is it my way that is unfair? Instead, isn’t it your ways that are unfair?


‘Your words against me are harsh,’  says the Lord. Yet you ask, ‘What have we spoken against you? ’


If anyone  thinks he is religious without controlling his tongue,  his religion is useless and he deceives himself.
