But as a mountain collapses and crumbles and a rock is dislodged from its place,


God reserves a person’s punishment for his children. Let God repay the person himself, so that he may know it.


‘I am pure, without transgression; I am clean and have no iniquity.


Even if I were in the right, my own mouth would condemn me; if I were blameless, my mouth would declare me guilty.


then you dip me in a pit of mud, and my own clothes despise me!


Even if you wash with lye and use a great amount of bleach,  , the stain of your iniquity is still in front of me. This is the Lord God’s declaration.


I recorded it on a scroll,  sealed it, called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on the scales.


Ephraim’s guilt is preserved; his sin is stored up.


For their vine is from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poisonous; their clusters are bitter.


‘Is it not stored up with me, sealed up in my vaults?
