Then out of the sky the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah burning sulphur from the Lord.


Then the Lord’s fire fell and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.


Elijah responded to the captain, ‘If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.’ Then fire came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.


Elijah responded, ‘If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.’ So a divine fire  came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.


Already fire has come down from heaven and consumed the first two captains with their companies, but this time let my life be precious to you.’


Make an appeal to the Lord. There has been enough of God’s thunder and hail. I will let you go;  you don’t need to stay any longer.’


Then fire came from the Lord   and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.


Fire came from the Lord and consumed  the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted  and fell face down.


The Lord God showed me this: The Lord God was calling for a judgement by fire.  It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.


It also performs great signs,  even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in front of people.


Terror spread through the Philistine camp and the open fields to all the troops. Even the garrison and the raiding parties  were terrified. The earth shook,  and terror spread from God.  ,
