10 This is what the Lord says concerning these people: Truly they love to wander; they never rest their feet. So the Lord does not accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.

She said to Elijah, ‘Man of God,  what do you have against me?  Have you come to call attention to my iniquity  so that my son is put to death? ’


Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about; see, my angel will go before you. But on the day I settle accounts, I will hold them accountable for their sin.’


How unstable you are, constantly changing your ways! You will be put to shame by Egypt just as you were put to shame by Assyria.


Only acknowledge your guilt   – you have rebelled against the  Lord your God. You have scattered your favours to strangers under every green tree and have not obeyed me. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


No longer will one teach his neighbour or his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,”  for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them’   #– #this is the Lord’s declaration. ‘For I will forgive their iniquity  and never again remember their sin.


What use to me is frankincense from Sheba or sweet cane  from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable; your sacrifices do not please me.


Why have these people turned away? Why is Jerusalem always turning away? They take hold of deceit; they refuse to return.


It will never again be an object of trust  for the house of Israel, drawing attention to their iniquity of turning to the Egyptians. Then they will know that I am the Lord God.” ’


My people are bent on turning from me. Though they call to him on high, he will not exalt them at all.


I will not vent the full fury of my anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man, the Holy One among you; I will not come in rage.


Woe to them,  for they fled from me; destruction to them, for they rebelled against me! Though I want to redeem them, they speak lies against me.


But they never consider that I remember all their evil. Now their actions are all around them; they are right in front of my face.


Though they offer sacrificial gifts  , and eat the flesh, the Lord does not accept them. Now he will remember their guilt and punish their sins; they will return to Egypt.


They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; he will punish their sins.


I have known only you out of all the clans of the earth; therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.


Even if you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; I will have no regard for your fellowship offerings of fattened cattle.


For I will forgive their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.   ,,


This is what the Lord of Armies says: “I witnessed  what the Amalekites did to the Israelites when they opposed them along the way as they were coming out of Egypt.
