But look, you keep trusting in deceitful words that cannot help.


For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.


He replied to them, ‘The one who has two shirts must share with someone who has none, and the one who has food must do the same.’


But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river crashed against it, and immediately it collapsed. And the destruction of that house was great.’


He made no distinction between us and them,  cleansing their hearts by faith.


Even Simon himself believed. And after he was baptised, he followed Philip everywhere and was amazed as he observed the signs and great miracles  that were being performed.


You have no part or share in this matter, because your heart is not right before God.


Circumcision benefits you if you observe the law; but if you are a lawbreaker, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.


and by which you are being saved, if you hold to the message I preached to you #– #unless you believed in vain.


If anyone does not love the Lord, a curse be on him. Our Lord, come!


For you were called  to be free, brothers and sisters; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity  for the flesh, but serve one another through love.


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith  working through love.


We recall, in the presence of our God and Father,  your work produced by faith,  your labour motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.


Now the goal of our instruction is love  that comes from a pure heart,  a good conscience,  and a sincere faith.


For the training of the body has limited benefit,  but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.


They claim to know God,  but they deny him by their works.  They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.


This saying is trustworthy.  I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone.


By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac.  He received the promises and yet he was offering his one and only son,


Don’t be led astray by various kinds of strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established by grace and not by food regulations, since those who observe them have not benefited.


Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters.


and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, stay warm, and be well fed,’ but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?


But someone will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’  Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works.


For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.


For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge,
