‘Make an earthen altar for me, and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your flocks and herds. I will come to you and bless you in every place where I cause my name to be remembered.


I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim  that are over the ark of the testimony; I will speak with you from there about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.


‘You are to place the altar in front of the curtain by the ark of the testimony #– #in front of the mercy seat that is over the testimony #– #where I will meet with you.


For you will become like an oak whose leaves are withered, and like a garden without water.


On that day you will say: ‘I will give thanks to you, Lord, although you were angry with me. Your anger has turned away, and you have comforted me.


Lord our God, lords other than you have owned   us, but we remember your name alone.


You disputed with Israel by banishing and driving her away. He removed her with his severe storm on the day of the east wind.


But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he became their enemy and fought against them.


I will make known the  Lord’s faithful love and the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the  Lord has done for us – even the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, which he did for them based on his compassion and the abundance of his faithful love.


we have sinned,  done wrong, acted wickedly, rebelled,  and turned away from your commands and ordinances.


How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart; my compassion is stirred!


Let’s strive to know the  Lord. His appearance is as sure as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the land.


Now Joshua was dressed with filthy  clothes  as he stood before the angel.


‘Because I, the Lord, have not changed,  you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.  ,


but in every nation the person who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.


Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
