For this is what the Lord said to me: As a lion or young lion growls over its prey when a band of shepherds is called out against it, and it is not terrified by their shouting or subdued by their noise, so the Lord of Armies will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its hill.

You will see, you will rejoice, and you  will flourish like grass; then the Lord’s power will be revealed to his servants, but he will show his wrath against his enemies.

The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and for ever. The zeal of the Lord of Armies will accomplish this.

‘As for you, you are to prophesy all these things to them, and say to them: The Lord roars from on high; he makes his voice heard from his holy dwelling. He roars loudly over his grazing land; he calls out with a shout, like those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

They will follow the  Lord; he will roar like a lion. When he roars, his children will come trembling from the west.

Therefore, wait for me   – this is the  Lord’s declaration – until the day I rise up for plunder. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, in order to pour out my indignation  on them, all my burning anger; for the whole earth will be consumed by the fire of my jealousy.
