Like wandering gazelles and like sheep without a shepherd, each one will turn to his own people, each one will flee to his own land.


Whoever is found will be stabbed, and whoever is caught will die by the sword.


The nations rage like the rumble of a huge torrent. He rebukes them, and they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills and like tumbleweeds before a gale.


All your rulers have fled together, captured without a bow. All your fugitives were captured together; they had fled far away.


Then Assyria will fall, but not by human sword; a sword will devour him, but not one made by man. He will flee from the sword; his young men will be put to forced labour.


The peoples flee at the thunderous noise; the nations scatter when you rise in your majesty.
