Manasseh eats Ephraim, and Ephraim, Manasseh; together, both are against Judah. In all this, his anger has not turned away, and his hand is still raised to strike.


In those days the house of Judah will join with the house of Israel,  and they will come together from the land of the north to the land I have given your ancestors to inherit.” ’


‘Have you not noticed what these people have said? They say, “The Lord has rejected the two families he had chosen.”  My people are treated with contempt and no longer regarded as a nation among them.


In those days and at that time – this is the  Lord’s declaration – the Israelites and Judeans will come together, weeping as they come, and will seek the  Lord their God.


‘ “This is what the Lord God says: When I gather the house of Israel  from the peoples where they are scattered, I will demonstrate my holiness through them in the sight of the nations, and they will live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.


And the Judeans and the Israelites will be gathered together. They will appoint for themselves a single ruler and go up from   the land. For the day of Jezreel  will be great.
