Who among all the gods of the lands has rescued his land from my power? So will the Lord rescue Jerusalem from my power? ” ’


For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Saviour. I have given Egypt as a ransom for you, Cush and Seba in your place.


When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.


I will speak through the prophets and grant many visions; I will give parables through the prophets.


I have been the Lord your God ever since  the land of Egypt. I will make you live in tents again, as in the festival days.


There I will give her vineyards back to her and make the Valley of Achor  , into a gateway of hope. There she will respond as she did in the days of her youth, as in the day she came out of the land of Egypt.


I will take you to be my wife in faithfulness, and you will know the Lord.


Then the Lord commanded the fish,  and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.


There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.’
