I have provided a place there for the ark, where the Lord’s covenant is that he made with our ancestors when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

He  made the altar of incense out of acacia wood. It was square, forty-five centimetres long and forty-five centimetres wide; it was ninety centimetres high.  Its horns were of one piece with it.

The staff of the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of the Israelites’ complaints that they have been making about you.’


The next day Moses entered the tent of the testimony and saw that Aaron’s staff, representing the house of Levi, had sprouted, formed buds, blossomed, and produced almonds!


The Lord gave me the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant, at the end of the forty days and forty nights.


When I went up the mountain to receive the stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant  the Lord made with you, I stayed on the mountain for forty days and forty nights. I did not eat food or drink water.


Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant  appeared in his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder,  an earthquake,  and severe hail.


Another angel, with a golden incense burner, came and stood at the altar. He was given a large amount of incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar in front of the throne.
