Hebrews 6:2

For God will bring every act to judgement,  including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.


Your dead will live; their bodies  will rise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust! For you will be covered with the morning dew, and the earth will bring out the departed spirits.


Many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to eternal life, and some to disgrace and eternal contempt.


Go, therefore, and make disciples   of   all nations,   baptising   them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,


But John tried to stop him, saying, ‘I need to be baptised by you, and yet you come to me? ’


Whoever believes   and is baptised will be saved,   but whoever does not believe will be condemned.


When they come from the marketplace,  they do not eat unless they have washed.  And there are many other customs they have received and keep, like the washing of cups, jugs, kettles, and dining couches.  ,)


Abandoning the command of God, you hold on to human tradition.’


When the Pharisee saw this, he was amazed that he did not first perform the ritual washing  , before dinner.


But I have a baptism to undergo,   and how it consumes   me until it is finished!


And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid   at the resurrection of the righteous.’


John answered them all,  ‘I baptise you with water, but one who is more powerful than I am is coming. I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandals. He will baptise you with  the Holy Spirit and fire.


I didn’t know him, but he who sent me to baptise with water told me, “The one you see the Spirit descending and resting on #– #he is the one who baptises with the Holy Spirit.”


and come out #– #those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of condemnation.


‘Can anyone withhold water and prevent these people from being baptised, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? ’


Then after they had fasted, prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them off.


After she and her household were baptised, she urged us, ‘If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.’  And she persuaded us.


He took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds. Straight away he and all his family were baptised.


Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also debated with him. Some said, ‘What is this ignorant show-off  trying to say? ’ Others replied, ‘He seems to be a preacher of foreign deities’ #– #because he was telling the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.


Peter replied, ‘Repent  and be baptised,  each of you, in the name  of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


So those who accepted his message were baptised, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.


When Paul realised that one part of them were Sadducees and the other part were Pharisees, he cried out in the Sanhedrin, ‘Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees.  I am being judged because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead! ’


I have a hope in God, which these men themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection,  , both of the righteous and the unrighteous.


other than this one statement I shouted while standing among them, “Today I am on trial before you concerning the resurrection of the dead.” ’


Now as he spoke about righteousness, self-control, and the judgement to come,  Felix became afraid and replied, ‘Leave for now, but when I have an opportunity I’ll call for you.’


Why do any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead?


because they were annoyed that they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.


They had them stand before the apostles, who prayed  and laid their hands on  them.


on the day when God judges  what people have kept secret, according to my gospel through Christ Jesus.


and all were baptised  into Moses  in the cloud and in the sea.


For we were all baptised by  one Spirit into one body #– #whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free #– #and we were all given one Spirit to drink.


For we must all appear before the judgement seat  of Christ,  so that each may be repaid  for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.


He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious  body,  by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.


when you were buried with him  in baptism, in which you were also raised with him  through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.


They have departed from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place,  and are ruining the faith of some.


Women received their dead, raised to life again. Other people were tortured, not accepting release, so that they might gain a better resurrection.


They are physical regulations and only deal with food, drink, and various washings imposed until the time of the new order.


By the same word,  the present heavens and earth are stored up for fire, being kept for the day of judgement  and destruction of the ungodly.
