‘Zerubbabel’s hands have laid the foundation of this house,  and his hands will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Armies has sent me to you.


And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church,   and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.


For we are God’s co-workers.  You are God’s field, God’s building.


Now if the ministry that brought death, chiselled in letters on stones, came with glory,  so that the Israelites were not able to gaze steadily at Moses’s face because of its glory, which was set aside,


He is also the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.


But we do see Jesus #– #made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace he might taste death  for everyone #– #crowned with glory and honour   because he suffered death.


Now every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God.


But Christ was faithful as a Son over his household. And we are that household if we hold on to our confidence and the hope in which we boast.  ,
