Nation was crushed by nation and city by city, for God troubled them with every possible distress.


The moment they began their shouts and praises, the Lord set an ambush  against the Ammonites, Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir who came to fight against Judah, and they were defeated.


The Ammonites and Moabites turned against the inhabitants of Mount Seir and completely annihilated them.  When they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped destroy each other.


As for me, I am going to harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them, and I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh, all his army, and his chariots and horsemen.


The water came back and covered the chariots  and horsemen, as well as the entire army of Pharaoh that had gone after them into the sea. Not even one of them survived.


When Pharaoh’s horses with his chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the Lord brought the water of the sea back over them. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.


He threw Pharaoh’s chariots and his army into the sea; the elite of his officers were drowned in the Red Sea.


I will provoke Egyptians against Egyptians; each will fight against his brother and each against his friend, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.


For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve you will perish; those nations will be annihilated.


The land is scorched by the wrath of the  Lord of Armies, and the people are like fuel for the fire. No one has compassion on his brother.


A ruin, a ruin, I will make it a ruin! Yet this will not happen until he comes; I have given the judgement to him.


All the princes of the sea will descend from their thrones,  remove their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit on the ground, tremble continually, and be appalled  at you.


I will call for a sword against him on all my mountains #– #this is the declaration of the Lord God  #– #and every man’s sword will be against his brother.


At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, of mighty men and all the warriors. This is the declaration of the Lord God.”


He will cause deceit to prosper through his cunning and by his influence, and in his own mind he will exalt himself. He will destroy many in a time of peace; he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be broken #– #not by human hands.


The archer will not stand his ground, the one who is swift of foot will not save himself, and the one riding a horse will not save his life.


In that day – this is the  Lord’s declaration – I will remove your horses from you and wreck your chariots.


I will take vengeance in anger and wrath against the nations that have not obeyed me.


Then the remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, among many peoples, like a lion among animals of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which tramples  and tears  as it passes through, and there is no one to rescue them.


Your hand will be lifted up against your adversaries, and all your enemies will be destroyed.


Nations will see and be ashamed of  all their power. They will put their hands over their mouths, and their ears will become deaf.


Therefore, wait for me   – this is the  Lord’s declaration – until the day I rise up for plunder. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, in order to pour out my indignation  on them, all my burning anger; for the whole earth will be consumed by the fire of my jealousy.


The Lord   will pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves of the sea; all the depths of the Nile will dry up. The pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt will come to an end.


They will be like warriors in battle trampling down the mud of the streets. They will fight because the  Lord is with them, and they will put horsemen to shame.


On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.


Then the Lord will go out to fight against those nations as he fights on a day of battle.


So he answered me, ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: “Not by strength or by might, but by my Spirit,”  says the Lord of Armies.


I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. The bow of war will be removed, and he will proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion will extend from sea to sea, from the River Euphrates to the ends of the earth.


For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines   , and earthquakes in various places.


The seventh angel blew his trumpet,  and there were loud voices in heaven saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.


When Gideon’s men blew their three hundred rams’ horns, the Lord caused the men in the whole army to turn on each other with their swords.  They fled to Acacia House  in the direction of Zererah as far as the border of Abel-meholah  near Tabbath.


When Saul’s watchmen in Gibeah of Benjamin looked, they saw the panicking troops scattering in every direction.
