Solomon began to build the temple for the Lord in the four hundred and eightieth year  after the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of his reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month.  ,


The Lord said to him: I have heard your prayer and petition you have made before me. I have consecrated this temple you have built, to put  my name there for ever;  my eyes and my heart will be there at all times.


Now determine in your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God.  Get started building the Lord God’s sanctuary so that you may bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant and the holy articles of God to the temple that is to be built  for the name of the Lord.’


And I have now chosen and consecrated this temple so that my name may be there for ever; my eyes and my heart will be there at all times.


They gave money to the stonecutters and craftsmen, and gave food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so they would bring cedar wood from Lebanon to Joppa by sea,  according to the authorisation given them by King Cyrus of Persia.

I will also meet with the Israelites there, and that place will be consecrated by my glory.

The Lord of Armies says this: ‘Think carefully about your ways.


I will shake all the nations so that the treasures of all the nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’  says the Lord of Armies.


‘The final glory of this house  will be greater than the first,’  says the Lord of Armies. ‘I will provide peace in this place’   #– #this is the declaration of the Lord of Armies.
