Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.’


In just three days Pharaoh will lift up your head  and restore you to your position. You will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand the way you used to when you were his cupbearer.


‘This is its interpretation,’ Joseph replied. ‘The three baskets are three days.


Now a young Hebrew, a slave of the captain of the guards, was with us there. We told him our dreams, he interpreted our dreams for us, and each had its own interpretation.


‘It is just as I told Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.


This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, had. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me the interpretation, because none of the wise men of my kingdom can make the interpretation known to me.  But you can, because you have a spirit of the holy gods.’


As they were eating,  Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to the disciples,  and said, ‘Take and eat it; this is my body.’


and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual rock  that followed them, and that rock was Christ.


Now Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia  and corresponds to the present Jerusalem,  for she is in slavery with her children.


His friend answered, ‘This is nothing less than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has handed the entire Midianite camp over to him.’
