Although she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her.


She grabbed him by his garment and said, ‘Sleep with me! ’ But leaving his garment in her hand, he escaped and ran outside.


The adulterer’s eye watches for twilight, thinking, ‘No eye will see me,’ and he covers his face.


‘Stolen water is sweet, and bread eaten secretly is tasty! ’


Can a person hide in secret places where I cannot see him? ’   #– #the Lord’s declaration. ‘Do I not fill the heavens and the earth? ’   #– #the Lord’s declaration.


‘I will come to you in judgement, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the hired worker, the widow, and the fatherless; and against those who deny justice to the resident foreigner.  They do not fear me,’  says the Lord of Armies.


For it is shameful even to mention what is done by them in secret.


But sexual immorality  and any impurity  or greed  should not even be heard of  among you, as is proper for saints.
