Then Jacob said to his relatives, ‘Gather stones.’ And they took stones and made a mound, then ate there by the mound.


They went to Gilead and to the land of the Hittites  and continued on to Dan-jaan and round to Sidon.


Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses  surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance  the race that lies before us,


So the Reubenites and Gadites named the altar: It  is a witness between us that the Lord is God.
