Laban asked, ‘What should I give you? ’ And Jacob said, ‘You don’t need to give me anything. If you do this one thing for me, I will continue to shepherd and keep your flock.


And the man became very rich.  He had many flocks, female and male slaves, and camels and donkeys.


a time to search and a time to count as lost; a time to keep and a time to throw away;


Look, I am ready to come to you this third time.  I will not burden you, since I am not seeking what is yours, but you. For children ought not to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.


For the land you are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and irrigated by hand  as in a vegetable garden.


But if anyone does not provide  for his own family, especially for his own household, he has denied the faith  and is worse than an unbeliever.
