Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper corresponding  to him.’


The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds of the sky, and to every wild animal; but for the man  no helper was found corresponding to him.


Then the Lord God made the rib he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man.


Then he asked, ‘Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from? ’


Have I covered my transgressions  as others do by hiding my iniquity in my heart


A person’s own foolishness leads him astray, yet his heart rages against the  Lord.


The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.


But wanting to justify himself,  he asked Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbour? ’


Since they are ignorant of the righteousness of God  and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God’s righteousness.


Saul answered, ‘The troops brought them from the Amalekites and spared the best sheep, goats, and cattle in order to offer a sacrifice to the Lord your God,  but the rest we destroyed.’
