Therefore that place was called Beer-sheba  , because it was there that the two of them swore an oath.


And Abraham lived as a foreigner in the land of the Philistines for many days.


Then Abraham said to his young men, ‘Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I will go over there to worship; then we’ll come back to you.’


From there he went up to Beer-sheba,


Hazar-shual, Beer-sheba, Biziothiah,


All the Israelites from Dan to Beer-sheba  and from the land of Gilead came out, and the community assembled as one body before the Lord at Mizpah.


His firstborn son’s name was Joel and his second was Abijah. They were judges in Beer-sheba.
