Genesis 15:6

You found his heart faithful in your sight, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites – to give it to his descendants. You have fulfilled your promise, for you are righteous.


And he received the sign of circumcision  as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith  , while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father  of all who believe  but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.


Is this blessing only for the circumcised,  then? Or is it also for the uncircumcised? For we say, Faith was credited to Abraham for righteousness.   ,


That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world  to himself,  not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us.


By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and set out for a place that he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, even though he did not know where he was going.


and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,  , and he was called God’s friend.
