These are but the fringes of his ways; how faint is the word we hear of him! Who can understand his mighty thunder?


He stretches the northern skies over empty space; he hangs the earth on nothing.


when I made the clouds its garment and total darkness its blanket,  ,


He leaves a shining wake behind him; one would think the deep had grey hair!


I was born when there were no watery depths and no springs filled with water.


Like hovering birds, so the Lord of Armies will protect Jerusalem; by protecting it, he will rescue it; by passing over it, he will deliver it.


For this is what the  Lord  says – the Creator of the heavens, the God who formed the earth and made it, the one who established it (he did not create it to be a wasteland, but formed it to be inhabited)   – he says, ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other.


I looked at the earth, and it was formless and empty. I looked to the heavens, and their light was gone.


Desolation, decimation, devastation! Hearts melt, knees tremble, insides churn, every face grows pale!


For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness’,  has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge  of God’s glory  in the face of Jesus Christ.


He watches over   his nest like an eagle and hovers over his young; he spreads his wings, catches him, and carries him on his feathers.
