11 Now, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offence of the cross  has been abolished.

Paul wanted Timothy to go with him; so he took him and circumcised  him because of the Jews who were in those places, since they all knew that his father was a Greek.


But they have been informed about you #– #that you are teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to abandon Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or to live according to our customs.


shouting, ‘Fellow Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What’s more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.’


For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is the power of God to us who are being saved.


but we preach Christ crucified,  a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.


But not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek.


You foolish  Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you,  before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed  as crucified?


But just as then the child born as a result of the flesh persecuted the one born as a result of the Spirit,  so also now.


Those who want to make a good impression in the flesh  are the ones who would compel you to be circumcised   #– #but only to avoid being persecuted  for the cross  of Christ.


From now on, let no one cause me trouble, because I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
