I will bless those who bless you, I will curse anyone who treats you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed  through you.  ,


The Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your offspring  , I will give this land.’ So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.


He took him outside and said, ‘Look at the sky and count the stars, if you are able to count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘Your offspring will be that numerous.’


But God said to Abraham, ‘Do not be distressed  about the boy and about your slave. Whatever Sarah says to you, listen to her, because your offspring will be traced through Isaac,


The sceptre will not depart from Judah or the staff from between his feet until he whose right it is comes  , and the obedience of the peoples belongs to him.


An  account  of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David,  the Son of Abraham:


to Abraham and his descendants   for ever, just as he spoke to our ancestors.


You are the sons  of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.   ,


in the same way we who are many  are one body in Christ  and individually members of one another.


For the promise to Abraham  or to his descendants that he would inherit the world  was not through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.


This is why the promise is by faith, so that it may be according to grace,  to guarantee it to all the descendants   #– #not only to the one who is of the law  but also to the one who is of Abraham’s faith. He is the father of us all.


They are Israelites,  and to them belong the adoption,  the glory,  the covenants,  the giving of the law,  the temple service,  and the promises.


For just as the body is one  and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body #– #so also is Christ.


Now you are the body of Christ,  and individual members of it.


Are they Hebrews?  So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the descendants of Abraham?  So am I.


Why, then, was the law given?  It was added for the sake of transgressions  until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come. The law was put into effect through angels  by means of a mediator.


Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and proclaimed the gospel in advance to Abraham,  saying, All the nations   will be blessed through you.   ,


This mystery  is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church.


They don’t hold on to the head, from whom the whole body,  nourished and held together by its ligaments and tendons, grows with growth from God.


In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.
