Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the East Gate, was over the freewill offerings to God to distribute the contribution to the Lord and the consecrated things.


On the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the Lord,  even though the foundation of the Lord’s temple had not yet been laid.


We have cast lots  among the priests, Levites, and people for the donation of wood by our ancestral families  at the appointed times each year. They are to bring the wood to our God’s house to burn on the altar of the Lord our God,  as it is written in the law.


The Levitical priests will never fail to have a man always before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to make sacrifices.’


‘Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When any of you brings an offering to the Lord from the livestock, you may bring your offering from the herd or the flock.


‘If his offering is a burnt offering  from the herd, he is to bring an unblemished male.  He will bring it to the entrance to the tent of meeting so that he  may be accepted by the Lord.


‘Speak to the Israelites and tell them: These are my appointed times,  the times of the Lord that you will proclaim as sacred assemblies.


Their drink offerings are to be two litres  of wine with each bull, 1.3 litres  with the ram, and one litre  with each male lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering for all the months of the year.
