Where are your prophets who prophesied to you, claiming, “The king of Babylon will not come against you and this land”?


therefore, tell those plastering it with whitewash that it will fall. Torrential rain will come,  and I will send hailstones plunging  down, and a whirlwind will be released.


‘ “So this is what the Lord God says: I will release a whirlwind in my wrath. Torrential rain will come in my anger, and hailstones will fall in destructive fury.


He will say, ‘Where are their gods, the ‘rock’ they found refuge in?


Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen.  Let them deliver you whenever you are oppressed.’


Zebul replied, ‘What do you have to say now? You said, “Who is Abimelech that we should serve him? ” Aren’t these the troops you despised? Now go and fight them! ’
