He entered a cave  there and spent the night. Suddenly, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said to him, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah? ’


Like an apricot  tree among the trees of the forest, so is my love among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.


They will go into the caves of the rocks and the crevices in the cliffs, away from the terror of the  Lord and from his majestic splendour, when he rises to terrify the earth.


Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the rain, like flowing streams  in a dry land and the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.


He made my words like a sharp sword; he hid me in the shadow of his hand. He made me like a sharpened arrow; he hid me in his quiver.


I have put my words in your mouth, and covered you in the shadow of my hand, in order to plant  the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’


and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual rock  that followed them, and that rock was Christ.


That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world  to himself,  not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us.


He said about Benjamin: The Lord’s beloved rests  securely on him. He  shields him all day long, and he rests on his shoulders.
