Exodus 33:16
15 Tagairtí Cros

And who is like your people Israel? God came to one nation on earth in order to redeem a people for himself, to make a name for himself, and to perform for them  great and awesome acts,  driving out nations and their gods before your people you redeemed for yourself from Egypt.

For you, Lord God, have set them apart as your inheritance from all peoples of the earth, as you spoke through your servant Moses when you brought our ancestors out of Egypt.

And the Lord responded, ‘Look, I am making a covenant. In the presence of all your people I will perform wonders that have never been done  in the whole earth or in any nation. All the people you live among will see the Lord’s work, for what I am doing with you is awe-inspiring.

Then he said, ‘My Lord, if I have indeed found favour with you, my Lord, please go with us (even though this is a stiff-necked people), forgive our iniquity and our sin, and accept us as your own possession.’

But on that day I will give special treatment to the land of Goshen, where my people are living;  no flies will be there. This way you will know that I, the Lord, am in the land.

And I promised you: You will inherit their land, since I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.  I am the Lord your God who set you apart from the peoples.

You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be mine.

They will tell it to the inhabitants of this land.  They have heard that you, Lord, are among these people, how you, Lord, are seen face to face, how your cloud stands over them, and how you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

I see them from the top of rocky cliffs, and I watch them from the hills. There is a people living alone; it does not consider itself among the nations.

See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated ‘God is with us.’

Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you.   ,

Or has a god attempted to go and take a nation as his own out of another nation, by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, by great terrors, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

For what great nation is there that has a god near to it as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call to him?
