As Aaron was speaking to the entire Israelite community, they turned towards the wilderness, and there in a cloud the Lord’s glory appeared.


and be prepared by the third day, for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.


The Lord said to Moses, ‘I am going to come to you in a dense cloud,  so that the people will hear when I speak  with you and will always believe you.’ Moses reported the people’s words to the Lord,


but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. You must not do any work #– #you, your son or daughter, your male or female servant, your livestock, or the resident foreigner who is within your city gates.


The appearance of the Lord’s glory to the Israelites was like a consuming fire  on the mountaintop.


Then the Lord will create  a cloud of smoke by day  and a glowing flame of fire by night over the entire site of Mount Zion and over its assemblies. For there will be a canopy over all the glory,


The appearance of the brilliant light all around was like that of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day.  This was the appearance of the likeness of the Lord’s glory.  When I saw it, I fell face down and heard a voice speaking.


Moses and Aaron then entered the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people.


Moses said, ‘This is what the Lord commanded you to do, that the glory of the Lord   may appear to you.’


While the whole community threatened to stone them,  the glory of the Lord appeared to all the Israelites at the tent of meeting.


When the community assembled against them, Moses and Aaron turned towards the tent of meeting, and suddenly the cloud covered it, and the Lord’s glory appeared.


For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness’,  has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge  of God’s glory  in the face of Jesus Christ.


I was in the Spirit  , on the Lord’s day, and I heard a loud voice behind me like a trumpet
