Then the Lord replied to him, ‘In that case,  whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.’ And he placed a mark  on Cain so that whoever found him would not kill him.


If Cain is to be avenged seven times over, then for Lamech it will be seventy-seven times!


Whoever sheds human blood, by humans his blood will be shed, for God made humans in his image.


if he can later get up and walk around outside leaning on his staff, then the one who struck him will be exempt from punishment. Nevertheless, he must pay for his lost work time  and provide for his complete recovery.


However, if the slave can stand up after a day or two, the owner should not be punished  because he is his owner’s property.  ,


A servant cannot be disciplined by words; though he understands, he doesn’t respond.


The avenger of blood himself is to kill the murderer; when he finds him, he is to kill him.


For it is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason. For it is God’s servant, an avenger  that brings wrath on the one who does wrong.


Do not show pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, and foot for foot.
