When they came to Chidon’s threshing-floor,  Uzzah reached out to hold the ark because the oxen had stumbled.


Put boundaries for the people all around the mountain and say: Be careful that you don’t go up on the mountain or touch its base. Anyone who touches the mountain must be put to death.


So Moses went down to the people and told them.


Then he said to Moses, ‘Go up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of Israel’s elders,  and bow in worship at a distance.

Moses said to Aaron, ‘This is what the Lord has spoken: I will demonstrate my holiness  , to those who are near me, and I will reveal my glory  , before all the people.’ And Aaron remained silent.


From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been suffering violence,   and the violent have been seizing it by force.

for the law was given through Moses;  grace and truth  came through Jesus Christ.


because the law produces wrath.  And where there is no law,  there is no transgression.


Why, then, was the law given?  It was added for the sake of transgressions  until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come. The law was put into effect through angels  by means of a mediator.


But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin’s power,  , so that the promise might be given on the basis of faith  in Jesus Christ to those who believe.


for our God is a consuming fire.


Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
