However, I will judge the nation they serve,  and afterwards they will go out with many possessions.


You produce new witnesses  against me and multiply your anger towards me. Hardships assault me, wave after wave.


Now at midnight the Lord struck every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner who was in the dungeon, and every firstborn of the livestock.


But when I stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all my miracles that I will perform in it, after that, he will let you go.


But the Lord replied to Moses, ‘Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: because of a strong hand he will let them go, and because of a strong hand he will drive them from his land.’


For this time I am about to send all my plagues against you,  your officials, and your people. Then you will know there is no one like me on the whole earth.


‘If you act with hostility towards me and are unwilling to obey me, I will multiply your plagues seven times for your sins.


Or has a god attempted to go and take a nation as his own out of another nation, by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, by great terrors, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?


and people were scorched by the intense heat. So they blasphemed the name of God,  who has the power  over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory.


They asked, ‘What guilt offering should we send back to him? ’ And they answered, ‘Five gold tumours and five gold mice  corresponding to the number of Philistine rulers,  since there was one plague for both you  and your rulers.
